That pesky command line for activating MS Office 2010 MAK keys.

Sometimes it seems in Office 2010 that the GUI activation just does not work, so we have to revert to the CLI. Here's how to do it: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14>cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (Note: Where xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx is the Product Key.) {or install the key via the GUI} After the [...] Read more

So what [...] Read more

Diskmanager and Windows 2012 Server

Where is it? Diskmanager is still there but burried away in the Server Manager. If you need it in a hurry it's much quicker to type: Run diskmgmt.msc in an elevated command window or the 'Run' box and up it wil pop.

Command Line Activation of Windows Office 2010 MAK

An annoying aspect of Office 2010 MAK is that sometimes it fails to activate when using the Wizard for reasons I've never been able to get to the bottom of. However, it's simple enough to do from an elevated command line, like this. Install the 25 character activation key into any Office application. Open an elevated command prompt and [...] Read more
