GetSimple is Open Source and can be found on GitHub. So why a 'community' edition? Well, the 'formal' edition is quite slow to be updated and currently does not run happily on any version of php above 6.x.
Many hosting companies are already using php 7.x or even 8.x, which will limit the use of GetSimple CMS. The same is true of some of the plugins which also don't like php 7.x and above.
So, a couple of great guys have done a huge amount of work updating the formal version to run on php 8.x, and have also done the same for some common plugins. See also the v2 builds from the same page.
The results can be seen on GitHub and from our testing, work perfectly.
